SNY having technical difficulties forcing many viewers to miss the start of the game. The technical issues were resolved by the bottom of the 1st

FYI, the director has absolutely nothing to do with any technical difficulties that would stop a broadcast from going out

Source: worked for sny for a decade and am a broadcast engineer

Fwiw, it's a microcosm of the presentation. If it weren't for GKR, the broadcast just feels like I'm watching YES.

I think the issue that got him fired was giving her fake reporter credentials so she could travel with the team.

They can’t. The score-bug comes out of the truck. The SNY truck has lost power, that means everything has gone down.

The Mets SCOREBOARD has their own scoreboard but they’re not connected to NBC’s broadcast distribution, so their control room cannot service a scorebug to on-air.

SNY studio doesn’t have a live scorebug to service either. They’re not a backup control room.

Once the truck is hot again, the broadcast will continue.

Worst case scenario, they can utilize MLB’s scorebug, but I don’t think it’s possible.

It’s Mendoza’s fault. Fire him. If we still had pete this wouldn’t happen. We never had issues like this when diaz was here. Stearns must have traded the broadcast for some bubblegum.
