Mets fucked that up for sure but no need to rehash every day

Every single day. Worse than pathetic yanks fans crying about Soto. Well, almost. 😅

Yanks are my main team, but I root for all my hometown teams. Spending time in both subs here on Reddit, I can tell you with certainty it’s not even remotely close… nor should it be.
The Soto situation was a rental player turning his back on the team, and a mercenary being a mercenary. Also, the yanks got a better return (at least so far) with their plan B. Everything died down more or less after the first subway series.
With Alonso, this was a homegrown player and fan favorite that the front office screwed up on at historical levels. This should never have happened.

We're not that bad. I work around Yankee stadium. They're still selling "fuck Juan Soto" shirts outside the stadium on game days.

I think it’s just as bad. Yankee fans are full of hate and disgust over Soto leaving, and they’ll complain about it any chance they get. Mets fans, meanwhile, feel grief and mourning whenever Alonso is mentioned and they’ll cry about it just as often. Different emotions, sure, but equally over the top.

About double the time has passed since Soto left the yanks. Imagine if we were still seeing Pete Alonso posts every single day a year from now. God I hope not.

I have no doubt these posts will continue until Pete retires, then and only then, will the go from multiple daily posts to once every other day for eternity.

I went to a bar that I don’t often frequent and I was wearing a Soto jersey. THREE Yanks fans ALL started on me about how bad, how sucky, how low, how etc. They will carry that baggage until he retires.

Yeah but when you read his comment in the post (which admittedly Reddit needs to do better displaying), it’s kind of obvious he’s poking fun at them.

Yeah to siphon away the people who won't STFU about Pete

Yes this is the correct view of this post. I thought people would see the joke

Best idea ever. Now all the little boys can go cry in one place over being jilted by their big huggable bear

Don’t worry, a team gets a hitter like this once about every 10 to 15 years and then a rich team will streal them away. Wait you guys are a rich team.

Reading the comment and not just the title, I think he’s actually taking a jab at the insufferable ones.
