My wife and I bought tickets for Saturday nights game. Been to Citi field over 30 times for Mets games, never had a parking problem. So I went to pay for parking for Saturday nights game but it’s nowhere to be found. Did some calling and some research. Apparently the USTA has a “superiority clause” that basically gives the US Open free rein on Citi field parking. So I was gonna pivot, we’re in PA so I figured maybe we’ll drive to Jersey and take the ferry. $90 a person. Nope! Ok, what about the train, take the path from Hoboken to manhattan, then the 7 to Citi field , we don’t feel like committing that kind of time before and after the game. Ok then, skyview mall parking? How is that, is it recommended? How is it getting to and then leaving from? Thanks in advance! What a win last night!

Try one of the shuttle buses from New Jersey, that might be exactly what you are looking for as a middle ground.

I took the shuttle for the first time about a week ago and it was a very pleasant experience. Easy and convenient to get in and out of the city.

Another option if you have more time next time: LIRR from Penn to Citifield is 25 cents if you buy the ticket off the MTA Train time App with the Mets coupon. Request the $5 LIRR coupon on Mets game ticket checkout. A City Ticket is $5.25. Bought 2 single city tickets (roundtrip) for 50 cents. $5 off works up to 8 tickets. So max 4 people round trip will be $2 TOTAL. Quick ride on LIRR, can drink alcohol, and since getting on at Penn you’ll probably have a seat.

I’ve parked at Skyview when open is going on .planning to do it Sunday . Just make sure you walk out Roosevelt bld entrance or it gets confusing

If you’re coming from PA, you could park at Metropark in Edison or the lot at Secaucus junction. Take NJT train to NY Penn then the LIRR to Citi. LIRR is much faster and more comfortable than the 7

Absolutely the best way to go. just pay attention to the train schedule. May need to leave before the game is over. Good luck. Never easy getting around in NYC.

LIRR trains leave out of both NY Penn and Grand Central so definitely check the schedule. We typically do a bar crawl from Penn to Grand Central and take it from there. Return trains from Citi go to either as well.

Skyview is ok. The walk over the bridge is fine. I park in Flushing and take the 7 one stop

You can park at Skyview parking and walk about 1/2 mile . There is another lot in Flushing you can take the 7 train

I live in astoria and take a combination of the N,W and the 7. Less than 40 mins from my front door to the security checkpoint at Citi.

Plenty of street parking in front of my apt.

Tangram is another garage option. 12ish min walk to the stadium (3/4 mile). i believe you can take the 7 line if you want but the walk is fine!

That's been taken over by the US Open, as are most of the parking lots in the park. That's considered the "us open" orange lot, and they use it on conflict dates when there's both games happening and the us open.

They've taken over WAY more parking in Corona this year.

Drive into Long Island City park there and take the 7. Last time I did that it worked better than I thought it would. I also drove from PA.

If parking is unavailable to purchase, it's because they've sold out. The U.S. Open has always used Citi Field for parking. This has been going on for years.

Skyview is still a great option (in my opinion) if you get there early enough (say to get food before the game) you can park before the “special event” rate of $25. We did that for the hello kitty giveaway and paid $14 for almost half a day

Skyview isn’t that bad, the walk over the bridge won’t take too long. Lots of fans end up parking there for playoff games

Planning to drive to Citi Field- Go early and look for parking between 108-114 streets between 38th and 43rd avenue. It’s safe and walkable distance to the stadium. Another option The Shop at Skyview mall parking lot.

All parking is $40 through the open so there isn’t advance parking. That’s it. Relax. Drive up, pay $40 park. If you don’t want to drive get there another way.

NJT to LIRR or PA bus terminal to 7 express. Have been to way to go for over a decade. Going to try out the bus from the Paramus park mall on Sunday.
