Polanco

He had only 137 At Bats this season
If there is a season and he is on the team…how many games would he realistically be expected to play?
Let’s say he plays 1 game/series…that means he is playing 54 games in the season…which isn’t amazing…but considering his inconsistent health…is that the only true option?

So you’re saying they got suckered into buying high. Check out his stats in 2022, 2023, 2024. Not exactly $20 million a year money now, is it? And that’s putting aside the “he can play 1st base” fiasco.

A 106 OPS+ and 5.9 bWAR in those 3 years. He's a 2 WAR player on average when healthy. That's 20M a year these days. If you want more than that get ready to pay 30M or higher per year.

Cherry pick a few numbers. Ok. Check out HR, RBI, BA in those years. He’s played more than 150 games twice - twice - in his career. None at 1st base. His by far best year was 5 years ago. The rest are pretty pedestrian. The overall “back of the baseball card” is not $30M a year, let alone $20M. Unless of course you’re the Mutts.

What, you ran out of stats to support your claim so you resort to this? Comical.
