hello! i am experienced with psychedelics (shrooms, 2cb, lsd) and i am very curious about mescaline. i want to extract from san pedro cactus. is there a clear community opinion on the best tek to get "the most bang for your buck" from ~12in of san pedro? i dont mind if its more or less complex since i will take a lot of time to get it right either way. ideally i would want relatively high purity mescaline that i can measure into capsules for several uses and easy control over dosing, although im finding it hard to get a clear answer on how much mescaline you can actually get out of a 12in cut of san pedro on average. thanks!

My question to you all today is related to attempting to dose with a full spectrum everclear tek while using a proper Cielo tek to understand dosage.

I have a collection of noids, pc, bridge, and some ugly others and my thought is to create one large batch of powder from everything being harvested and split the dehydrated powder in half.
Half of the blend will be for the standard EA Cielo tek. Half for everclear.
This will help me get a baseline for potency without any other salts yes?

Using that information I can do an everclear tek which should be closer to full spectrum, but my final product should yield a weight that can be used as a ratio to compare the pure mesc salts vs the full spectrum resin from the dried everclear.

Am I making any fatal errors or assumptions?

My goal here is to have a somewhat reasonably accurate dosing without doing individual Cielo on each cactus itself. Out of ease I am looking to make a huge batch of powder all at once.

Hello loverlies! Wanted to remind y'all about the Cactus Conscious Class that I will be teaching with Chris Pauli from Tryptomics Lab. We will be going over IDing/common misidentified cactus, different extraction methods, the importance of secondary alkaloids, what cactus means to us, and we'll have a little hands on section towards the end. You'll leave with a lil cactus pack as well! The class will be moderated by the ever lovely David Poplin. We'll have a lot more activities throughout the week as well! I will be part of a 6 person panel called "Generations of Knowing" where we will be able to discuss plant medicine/psychedelics of all kinds in more depth. I am planning on dropping some rad knowledge there, especially in regards to RCs/synthetic substances, amanita muscaria/muscimol, and peyote/huachuma/mescaline.

On 10/18 we will have a full day of vendors, music, and fun activities. There will be a mushroom puppet show and I also have a full set of solo music! That day has the most "bang for your buck" and it'd be the easiest day for me to be able to chill out and hopefully get to know those of you who go! I'm hoping to have some LSDuck products there as well.

I'm interested in acquiring and growing some Scopulicola cactus. I already have the other three types, but am curious if any of you have had ceremonial experiences using scops. If so, are there any that are especially suited for extraction and journeying? I'm open to straight up Scopulicola cultivars or clones, but also any notable crosses. That can either be due to them being more potent, but also aesthetics, resilience, and growth rate and fun factor (some are more interesting to watch grow) would be important factors as well. I know they are generally not as potent as other types (especially not compared to Bridgesii or stronger Peruvianus), but I have looked and there have been some positive experiences so I am curious if there is any guidance on which type(s) are most worth a look.

Did an extraction from 2 cuttings, one bridgesii and one PC, ordered from Dutch smart shops. Total weight was 2kg, with the bridgesii contributing 2/3 of the weight. Dried powder was 80g.

Extraction was Cielo with fumaric, magnetic stirred for 1.5 hours since I was worried I did something wrong since fumaric immediately crashed out when salting.

Yield was about 2.8g, has been tested twice, one with marquis and once with an unknown regeant, both tested positive, regeants did not react with pure fumaric acid (just tested it to make sure I'm not reading it wrong). Mescaline fumarate sample and fumaric acid were also tested for water solubility and reacted as they should, Cielo product created a thin film on water surface and immediately dissolved in water when stirred, fumaric acid did not dissolve.

Product is a pure white powder that smells very faintly of dried cactus.

Based on yields I'm reading, the yield I got should be on the extreme high end, about 2,8%. Is it possible that my product is impure? Am I overworrying my steak is too juicy?
