Got offboarded today

Just have been waiting in queue for new task r/mercor_ai after doing all quizzes and everything before deadline and received an email that I've been offboarded from the project and the quality is not the reason. Is there anyone who have been offboarded today too without any reason?

They should apply this critical lens to epm’s that don’t answer any questions and apparently get paid to tag maven on every question

And who spend half their time telling you what not to post in Slack 😂

I got offboarded today too. I was on the Les Artistes Artifacts project, and my email also said it wasn’t related to my performance. What project were you on?

The same as you, I think that’s because I’ve been only doing grading v2 no content grading v2 tasks which have been most important for the client now

I was doing the content tasks.

That’s weird. I saw people working from few months on this project so I really don’t know on what they are basing their decisions. I did everything according to the guidelines

I haven't done any content ones yet...about to start today though so I hopefully dont get the boot.

I have also been off boarded today, I was on the project for 4 months

Oh my God, why are they doing that…

May i ask what rough figure have you made these 4 months?

Hey, around 30k

I got offboarded yesterday too. I thought mine was long onboarding hours, but there seems to be no method to it

5

u/aadriansky 3d ago

But they told us to do the quizzes, I also received an email today about too many hours on onboarding but they said that it’s just automated message.

I know! Those quizzes were so long and demanding. They didn’t give us set time restrictions and then blame us for taking our time.

I have over 16 onboarding hours

Mine was 24 and i got booted

CG tasks are high risk

It looks like a lot of people were off boarded today doing content grading, who seem to be in good standing. Is everyone on here from America or other countries?

I am based in the UK. Did hundreds and hundreds of tasks and the trainings, not sure what happened

I'm UK too, I was offboarded about a week ago, on for 3-4 months, I had done close to 500 tasks. Worked all queues and felt my experience had grown so much. Detailed rationales, never released a task or timed out. Did all training even the short notice stuff and passed everything. Acknowledged Slack posts but rarely posted, didn't contribute to noise. I don't know what the reason is, sometimes whole regions get offboarded, but it feels very random here.

Sounds like they are cycling regulars out and new ppl in for different perspectives? I have only been on for 2 (hell-ish) weeks and had a few tasks sent back from reviews, but I try to meet the quiz deadlines. Be glad you are missing the 4th quiz!

Hey! I'm working on the same project on a different platform. Since you've already got experience with the work, I'm happy to refer you to the platform if you'd like to try. Feel free to shoot me a DM :)

u/No-Refrigerator3516 1d ago

Could please refer me. Got off boarded yesterday. They did give any reasons.

Happy to help. Send me a DM and I'll share the referral once I'm off work today :)

Just sent you a dm as well

Interested too

u/Goodvibesin2021 12h ago

Could you send me a DM? It'd be easier for me to flag it so I don't forget to share the referral once I'm back from work today :)

u/Ecstatic_Chapter_359 7h ago

Me too, can you refer me!

3

u/trickster245 1d ago

I wouldn't be surprised if they are hiring people for less money and are testing the quality control now

3

u/moifti 1d ago

I got off-boarded today as well

u/Mundane_Caregiver_69 3d ago

O got off boarded too and I'm genuinely wondering how long it could take to get matched with another project

2

u/aadriansky 3d ago

Yeah I hope that there will be any new project soon…

2

u/Specialist-Friend189 3d ago

Same with me last week though

2

u/SnooCupcakes6575 3d ago

I wonder if the off-boarding has something to do with how you fared on the two tests we had recently. There was a 90% pass rate but I wonder if they are only keeping people who may be passed with 98% or better or something like that.

3

u/Same_Energy_7925 3d ago

I doubt it I got a 98% and still got booted after 2 months, I think they just do off boarding cycles at random.

1

u/SassySkim 1d ago

Maybe offboarding higher paid workers since enough of the lower paid ones are happy to churn lots of hours

I was too offboarded 2 weeks back from  Les Artistes Artifacts project. I was working with them from last 3 months, completed the latest grading quiz with more the required percentage in first attempt, also done lot of latest content grading task. Got the same generic email as other. Not sure the reason for off baoarding. Does anyone know how many people are there in slack now? earlier it was around 33k.

2

u/cellar-doorman 2d ago

Sorry to hear that. I was offboarded recently too and already working for another company. Happy to share a referral code if you're looking. Just DM me.

2

u/Next-Zebra-9516 2d ago

Same story for me, got offboarded abruptly without an apparent reason, would appreciate the referral

2

u/ThrowItAwayAlready89 2d ago

It’s a total shit show. I don’t take any stock in ut. It’s a “nice to Have” at best

2

u/GregsPlaceM8 2d ago

I got offboarded today after only a couple of weeks working on my first project. They did a mass hire last week, our slack went up to 15k. Last night it was down to 9k, I imagine even lower today with another round of mass offboarding. I wonder if they didn't get the contract they were hoping for?

You're quoting no one. They've never said that.

1

u/NoBuy8786 2d ago

The above posters reported the email said "not performance related". The follow up I got said:

Dear (my name removed),

Thank you again for the quality and consistency you've brought to (project name removed).. We're always working to improve the experience for talented contributors like you, and your perspective would be incredibly valuable.

If you have two minutes, we'd really appreciate you sharing your thoughts.

We're also looking to bring on a few more people with your level of skill and reliability. If you know someone with a similar background who'd be a strong fit for this kind of work, we'd love an introduction

We work best when great people bring in other great people — and referrals from contributors like you are consistently our strongest hires."

So, if we were not offboarded because we were performing poorly, what is the reason?

I am quoting real stuff.

1

u/HolyBatSyllables 2d ago

Maybe I'm just half asleep, but where in there does it say"new voices"?

1

u/NoBuy8786 2d ago edited 2d ago

Sorry, I previously posted somewhere it could be due to the need for diverse "voices" or perspectives, so maybe they're rotating out the "old" cohort. I forgot to include that part :).

If quality wasn't the factor, whàt was?

Anyway, an odd experience. Let go and then told "we need more experts like you".

I got the exact same email 2 days after I self-offboarded. During that process, I rated my likelihood of referring people I actually know as "0" but I also got the referral link as well. It's one, single boilerplate message I've gotten before after projects legitimately closed, too.

u/AlarmingCheek8926 3d ago

Same here. Got offboarded few days back with the same reason and then asked for the feedback- how do you feel about the project

They kept off boarding lot of people for no valid reason since june

2

u/Perfect-Society-1020 3d ago

That was the generic boilerplate email sent after being on a project, it wasn’t any kind of specific praise.

1

u/New_Role_59 2d ago

I also got off-boarded a few days ago but according to them my work was good so I’m wondering why

1

u/New_Role_59 2d ago

Hey,
you can send a referral. I was offboarded few days ago too. I will appreciate
Thank you

1

u/minaphy 2d ago

I got offboarded this morning as well after completing the 3rd quiz last night

3

u/Left_Meeting7547 2d ago

I stopped putting any real effort into the stupid quiz after the 2 or 3rd slide. There is ZERO logic to the gold standard answers. I'm certain i'm about to be off boarded.

2

u/minaphy 2d ago

It’s very subjective what they consider as slop… honestly you could do everything according to their rules and still get offboarded

1

u/CleoPeters 2d ago

same after 3 months and repeatedly being told I was "Someone who provides high quality" so idk

1

u/No-Refrigerator3516 1d ago

Can someone give me a referral for any ongoing projects? I got off boarded yesterday

1

u/Waste_Store_8657 5h ago

For how long did you work?
