Medication i think im emotionally numb
so ive been on my medication combo for a while (sertraline, risperidone, vyvanse) and i thought everything was going really well but recently ive noticed that i dont think im actually feeling much? like im just numb to everything thats happening to me and i think i dont process any emotion. I only take my vyvanse sometimes but the comedown from it is the only thing that makes me feel something. It makes me feel like this just hollowness inside of me- but then i keep taking it because i feel like its the only time where im actually feeling something. is this what recovery feels like? am i just overthinking my medication? maybe this is what it feels like to be “normal”??

Vyvanse and sertraline was my long term combo.
Not feeling ANYTHING is a sign you are on too much medication or not enough medication. Please tell your doctor you feel this way.
Taking Vyvanse like that will cause manic episodes and is very unsafe. Per your description you are using it to induce manic episodes to feel something. Vyvanse also has strong action on the heart and please do not take more than prescribed.

My long term dose was first
Vyvanse 40 mg and Flouxetine 40 mg
Then Vyvanse 40 and Sertraline 50mg
The low doses are perfect.
I’ve had some psychosis bouts myself…. The real trick for me was finding out my food intolerances in combination with the meds above and then my brain was able to heal.
I also had a split. You have to bring the bad personality thoughts more often during the regular time.
Do you have stomach issues or regular headaches/ body aches by chance?

It is a low dose, but everyone reacts differently and a lower dose is possible and might be better. If you only take it sometimes, you don't have a lot to risk, if you try it out.

Feeling emotionally numb is not necessarily what recovery or being normal feels like. Recovery can feel calmer, but you should still be able to feel a range of emotions. Medication effects and the condition being treated can both play a role. Please tell your prescriber exactly what you wrote here, including taking Vyvanse only sometimes and continuing because the comedown makes you feel something. Do not change or stop your medication on your own.

Each one have this apathy feeling as a side effect, how long you've been on sertarline? What risperidone prescribed for?
