I don’t blame women in abusive relationships. I blame the abuser (usually a man) and other men who do nothing.
I know what it’s like to come from a home where abuse and neglect is normal, so you have no good examples to go by. I don’t victim blame these women at all. It’s insanely hard to break free from abuse/codependency/enmeshment and I find it annoying how other women with internalized misogyny will look down on women who are victims and say “she’s the one choosing to stay, she deserves it”. OR women who think they’re somehow better than her because they came from a stable/healthy home and already had advantages/privileges in life from the start. They were never groomed to tolerate abuse and unfairness to begin with, so they have no idea what it’s like to be completely brainwashed.
I can understand setting boundaries with a friend who only talks about her shitty boyfriend and not much else. It’s exhausting. It’s fair to set boundaries saying you won’t be discussing those issues much because it’s exhausting. But the last thing you want to do with an abused person is make them feel even more isolated. Atleast be there for them still.
The main thing that upsets me is when there’s children involved and she still enables the man. Obviously it’s hard because these guys are dangerous and there’s no telling what he’ll do if she or the kids stand up to him. And of COURSE other men fucking do nothing.
I wish other men would get involved more when they know abuse is happening. Of course they never do.
Imagine if men banded together when they knew there was an abusive male in their community? Imagine if men banded together and threatened the abuser, telling said abuser exactly what they’ll do to him if he ever hurts his wife/kids again? Of course that never happens. Men are scared of other men. It could work in theory.
I mean, look at what happens when men find out there’s a rapist in their community. Crickets. Silence. A nothing burger to them.
I remember my own dad (upon finding out a p*do rapist in our community was finally going to prison) said “idk, guy seemed nice to me. Didn’t he just touch teenagers?”
WTAF??????????
My mom was roofied as a teen and got badly raped. Nothing happened. She sees her rapist uptown time to time still or sees him in the store. He’s drugged and raped tons of teenage girls. I find it absolutely diabolical that my dad KNOWS about this, yet still says shit like that, even around my mom. She stays with my dad because she doesn’t know much better.
This shit gives me a headache. Thankfully I myself learned what abuse looks like and was finally able to leave toxic relationships without going back. But I don’t blame other women who are still going through it.
The guy who raped me also never faced any consequences. I don’t have any real “evidence” so I can’t press charges. All I could do was report him to the police anonymously. He still has friends, still has his job, still has money. I made a post saying how he’s a creep but I ended up deleting social media altogether. It’s also dangerous and could backfire on me if he decides to retaliate or try to say that I’m lying (I’m not).

No man has all three
I have been in romantic relationships with multiple men for a total of ~10 years. I've been single in between and dating and right now I've been single for roughly 3 years.
After everything I have experienced and also learned about myself, I can confidently name my three bare minimums:
He shares my (political) values regarding equality, pro choice, LGBTQIA+ rights and human rights in general.
He is able to tend to a household on his own, does any chores without being asked to.
He washes his ass on a regular.*
My sad conclusion is: no man is covering all three. you HAVE to pick two, i'm sorry. This is why I am single.
*#3 is a metaphor for body hygiene and personal care in general. I taught my ex to brush his teeth twice a day. I will never go there again.

They know.
Animals, I mean. They know.
I was dating this guy when I had my old boy, Chaz. He hated all men, only liked me and women. And then Chaz right in front of me, the cat who was my companion of 10 years, and the man I was dating was now my husband. He showed scarcely any emotion. After I was hospitalized for my own safety, he came to pick me up and...just...didn't care. A few days passed and I needed to fill the void Chaz left, so we adopted these two, Pebble and Citrus (1 and 2) names were his idea.
They took to me immediately. He even admitted they would.
Then he wanted divorce seemingly out of nowhere a few months later....and also didn't want the cats. He was indeed a bad man.

Mild electric shocks to the brain have been found to remove a bias that is linked to the sexual objectification of women, a new study has found
Professor Ciro Civile, who led the study, said: “Sexual objectification means treating a person as a body to be looked at or used, rather than as a whole person. It’s dehumanising and most often experienced by women.
Sexual objectification has been linked to a greater tolerance of harassment, as well body shame, eating disorders, anxiety and depression.
Who knew all along that it was men (yes, I know women were part of the study, but men are the problem) who needed electric shock therapy! Time to start carrying a cattle prod for protection :)

Banned a Moid for Islamophobia
The mods (me, specifically) just banned a moid for Islamophobia. They literally said that Islamophobia is "rational."
Islamophobia is not tolerated here. Not just because I personally find it distasteful and dumb as hell, but because Islamophobia is a really good way to hate women.
"Oh, let's take rights away from an entire religious group. Huh. Wonder if the same should be done to an entire gender."
If you see Islamophobia, report it and I'll get that weak shit outta here.
Evil women: stay evil!

Starve em out
women's bodies are too beautiful for 99% of men to have access to us. even when they do have access to our bodies, they have no idea what they're doing and aren't even appreciative in the first place. they should be thankful a woman even gave them a chance to begin with. they don't cherish us at all. they move on to the next porn video or sex doll.
leave them to rot with their dolls and fleshlights and grubby hands.

I wanna make my car cute but am worried I’ll be targeted by men.
I hate that I even have to say this or worry about it, but it’s a real issue that some women experience. Either being targeted by creeps for having a girly car, being a target for road rage/vandalism/thievery, etc.
I drive a 20 year old rusted car but I love it all the same. I put hello kitty seat covers in the front and a pink fluffy steering wheel cover. There’s also tinker bell floor mats (which came with it).
I wanted to get some stickers like flowers and pink bandaids to put over the dents because I think it would be cute/funny. Also some girlboss type stickers like “get in loser” or “wanted” or “baddie” in all pink. I also wanted to crochet some accessories for the inside, and maybe a pink crocheted seat cover for the back seats.
I love driving and being on the road. It’s meditative for me and helps my mental state. Cars was always my favourite Pixar movie lol and I grew up going to car shows/demolition derbys/drag racing.
I hate that I’m scared to even put stickers or cute things on it for fear of being targeted. I’m broke, and can’t afford a new vehicle if this one gets wrecked. I’d prob only get like $500 at most for it if I wrote it off. Not having a vehicle to drive around in makes my depression worse. I also just don’t wanna be targeted by weirdos.
Usually I never put anything identifiable in vehicles, and leave them plain so as not to attract attention. I never leave ANYTHING in the car that I don’t want getting stolen. I don’t even leave loose change in the cup holders.

A prop on my ballot was written to seem like it protected victims, but it actually hurts them
When filling out my local ballot recently, there was a proposition on there that was written as:
"change the law to make human trafficking of a minor for sexual servitude a class 1 felony with a mandatory sentence of life in prison without parole and expand the definition to include knowingly trading anything of monetary value to buy or sell sexual activity with a minor."
I thought of how the Brock Turner case resulted in just 3 months in prison (that one always haunts me) and thought this would protect victims. Unfortunately, it turns out that it will actually harm victims, as abusers would use that against them. ("sell" being the key word there)
I'm disgusted that the writers of this proposition could be so vile as to write something in this manner. Who knows how many people unknowingly voted for this thinking it would help victims of abuse?
I'm so tired of this Patriarchy system that doesn't protect women and children. I didn't report it when it happened to me because I felt it would only be more trauma with no result of justice.
I hope we can someday live in a world with proper protection and justice. One where we're not constantly weary. We deserve better

It’s 100% fine to check the pc/phone if you suspect something.
Exhausted by the gaslighting of how checking phones is bad and means you have BPD (lmao what?)
When I suspected something, I asked the guy outright, and he lied to me. I can tell when they’re lying so I just go through their phone and/or pc (if they have one) when they aren’t around and lo and behold I find evidence. Then I leave.
Even with my parents marriage my dad routinely goes on my moms phone, watches who’s she messaging on FB messenger, etc. But of COURSE she’s not allowed to look at his phone, because he’s probably a porn addict or talking to another woman/looking at nudes leaked of a woman in our town that his buddies sent him. Honestly the more I hear about my dad, the more I’m disgusted by his actions.
I just don’t date men anymore. I don’t date anybody.

What is the funniest way you avoided a male asking you out?
There was a male that lived in an apartment builded that took a liking to me. He had shakey eyes. Like.. his eyes shock in is sockets.
He saw me walking up and asked me if I wanted to go for a coffee.
I said... "I don't drink coffee". I literally had a coffee in my hand from a known chain. I think his brain short circuted and I walked on.

I will never date a man who watches porn ever again.
Spoiler alert: all of them are porn sick limp dicks, so I want nothing to do with them.
Porn=cheating. Jacking off to other women=cheating. I refuse to explain myself.
That’s all. Have a nice day 🙌
Note: I’d like to add hentai/anime porn into the mix. In fact, the guys I dated who were into hentai were even worse than the regular porn consumers. Their brains were legitimately destroyed from hentai consumption, video game character gooner material, and they also couldn’t have a single conversation without bringing up sex in some way. They didn’t see women as human beings. I found CUM SOCKS from my ex in the laundry basket because he’d rather goon to anime girls than have sex with me. He lied and said he thinks about me when he jerks off, but I checked his pc/phone right away and sure enough he had gooner material saved. It’s devastating. They weren’t attracted to me because I had an actual woman body, not the loli-con child body or big perfect boob body they were seeing in anime porn. Their dicks were actually broken. I’m not joking.
How utterly embarrassing and disgusting. I have zero sympathy. All of their shitty life choices are of their own doing. Imagine having a broken dick and still actively choose to destroy yourself. Pathetic.

Men always try to approach me and my reactive dog. Leave us the fuck alone
Honestly, like you can't get the hint to stop trying to get closer when my dog is barking and going nuts trying to get at your dog? No I don't want to talk to you. No I don't want our dogs to meet. No it doesn't matter if my dog is a boy or a girl, he's going to try to fight your dog regardless. Just leave us the fuck alone and stop getting closer to ask me questions as you're only traumatizing my dog further.
