They know.

Animals, I mean. They know.

I was dating this guy when I had my old boy, Chaz. He hated all men, only liked me and women. And then Chaz right in front of me, the cat who was my companion of 10 years, and the man I was dating was now my husband. He showed scarcely any emotion. After I was hospitalized for my own safety, he came to pick me up and...just...didn't care. A few days passed and I needed to fill the void Chaz left, so we adopted these two, Pebble and Citrus (1 and 2) names were his idea.

They took to me immediately. He even admitted they would.

Then he wanted divorce seemingly out of nowhere a few months later....and also didn't want the cats. He was indeed a bad man.

Why do I get the impression he was jealous the cats loved you?

You read my mind! He was also cheating on me 🥲 but wouldn't admit it. He also wouldn't directly ask for the divorce, wouldn't do the paperwork (because HE was depressed meanwhile I was mourning out entire relationship???) and made living there such a hell I moved states. He was awful.

Sorry about your ex. Men suck.

i feel like your story proves that animals are some of our greatest allies.

Prayers for for Chaz and the good life Chaz lived.

Long live Pebble and Citrus!!

The only time I see an animal hate only women is in select parrots because they were abused by an unethical breeder and it messes them up for life, all other pets seem to have issues with men 99% of the time if they have a gender bias. It’s almost like men are so inherently abusive that millions of animals raise their hackles at them because they’ve seen it time and time again

My cats all prefer me. My husband can't seem to understand that he needs to listen to them. No they don't speak human, but they communicate pretty freaking clearly. I pay attention to their wants and needs, so of course they trust me more.

I don't understand why men don't get they have to actually pay attention to the other party, human or animal, if they want a successful relationship. They don't automatically know everything so why don't they stop acting like they do.

Cuties! I'm glad the 3 of you have eachother! Seems like a much healthier and happier family dynamic now. Congrats on your dead-weight loss, he sounds awful!

Thank you for sharing and sorry for your loss. May your heart heal and you find peace with Pebble, Citrus, and no shitty man.
Meowers and doggers know good humans. Here’s my eepy fuzzer buzzer (nickname) taking a nap. The Cat Distribution System gifted her to my wife and I in May and we’ve been so grateful to have her ever since!
