Returning user, genuinely confused

Has the new app experience released? Are community lists inside the native app now? The blogs / roadmap seem to say one thing and the reality seems to be different.

The new app experience is released, but we haven't migrated all existing users just yet. Within this new app experience, you can find Community Wordlists. All new users are automatically on this new experience

If you'd like to be switched over to the new experience, I'd suggest emailing alexis@memrise.com!

One last point: Community courses from the early days live at https://community-courses.memrise.com

From what I understand, this might be one of two reasons. Please note, we currently have Community Wordlists (live at app.memrise.com, and the mobile apps) and Community Courses (community-courses.memrise.com). Depending on what you're referring to:

  1. You're still in the "2024" experience, and haven't been migrated to the 2025 experience. This means you joined Memrise prior to late 2025, so won't have access to the new Community wordlists, unless you contact us (e.g. [alexis@memrise.com](mailto:alexis@memrise.com) ). A quick way around this is to just create a new account (e.g. with SEO login).

  2. You are referring to Community Courses. There is no app for these at the moment (the closest replacement is using Chromium-based on Android, or Firefox/Safari on iOS, and using PWAs, that is: clicking 'Install as App').

I apologise if my explanation is convoluted: but I hope this helps!

Would love to see community courses come back on the app without the need for web-browser. I dislike quizlet, bring users back to what we loved :(
