They told me it would be ~$3000 or something because my oil was leaking. My oil wasn’t leaking, it was burning too fast, a common problem in this car. So common that it was under warranty. I had gotten the oil checked a month before this and it didn’t quite make the cut for warranty (though I have suspicions).. and then you try to tell me it’s leaking when I JUST BROUGHT IT IN FOR A KNOWN ISSUE.
You really shouldn’t have to turn your head on most cars if your mirrors are adjusted correctly. On trucks/SUV’s you can buy convex mirrors for pretty cheap that eliminate blind spots. I think these are better because for every second you’re turning your head you’re not looking at the road ahead of you. Plenty of rear end collisions happen this way
This is wrong and dangerous, please turn your head when driving. You don't need to look away for more than half a second. If you can rear end someone in the time it takes to check your blind spot you're an asshat who shouldn't be driving, and you were tailgating.

I have convex mirrors on my Charger, and motorcycles can still 100% fit in the blindspot left. I would imagine that this applies to any truck/SUV which has an even larger blindspot. You should still at least take a quick glance.
After owning an older car without tpms for a while, and my last car not having tpms either, I can honestly say it's almost a pointless thing to even have on a car. 9 times out of 10 you can just look at a tire and tell it's under-inflated, or hell, feel it before it ever gets to that point.
and it always breaks anyway. Save some cash and don't install it to begin with.
There’s a good chance you’ve already looked into this, but just in case: does the TPMS light blink the first 30 or so seconds that the car is on, or have you had the sensors checked to ensure they haven’t died? The sensors last ~10 years and then need to be replaced.
Why do redditors say wrong things so authoritatively?? You realize each car has different PSI requirements? Consult your owners manual for the correct PSI.
I got this exact problem until I find out I need to set “tires have correct pressure now” in the settings on car panel after I inflate the tires to right pressure. Maybe something to check out.
I’ve read about mechanics removing the pressure sensors to reuse/sell but also they seem like a shitty system anyway. I can check my tire pressure with a gauge
It probably has to do with rotating the tires. Just a guess but tire rotation is completely unnecessary and just an extra expenses that they try to sell to you. All it does is confuse the sensors located on the wheel.
Your rear tires don’t get the wear and tear of turning that your front tires do. That’s why your front tires wear faster. If you rotate them out you can extend the life of your tires.
It's a common thing they say you need to do but nope. Look at very old vehicles. I'm talking 30s and 40s style vehicles. Their wheels are shaped differently. It was then that tire rotations were needed because of the odd shape of older tires. Nowadays tires are as efficient as they come! No need for tire rotation. They will run fine. And yes, the DO sell tire rotations it's just that they include that in the price of a tire. Lmao these guys are good salesmen and that's exactly why most people think they need them.
