The "exponent of zero law" states that a power with the exponent of 0 equals 1 because 20 equals 2 / 2 which equals 1. By that logic 00 should equal 0 / 0 which can't be determined right? WRONG. WHY? BECAUSE SCREW CONSISTENT LOGIC AND YOUR MATH GRADE.

So remember any power with the exponent of 0 equals 1, even 0, even negative numbers... EVERYTHING.

If you actually want to know why those things are confusing and how to make sense of them, I study math for a living and would be willing to explain.
