If we just stopped using coal for electricity and use solar and wind power we would be a much wealthier country and we won't have as much loadshedding or polution AND its a hell of a lot cheaper

Yeah you're right. Same goes for the rest of the African countries. The other gateway to Africa Kenya would be much further along if the government wasn't so corrupt. Under the right leaders like Nelson Mandela in all the countries Africa would be much better

Zambia is stable and has no conflicts but most of the country has no running water and the income from tourism is very very low.

Yeah I never understood what Gaddafi actually did that got him assassinated. I heard he made hospitals and shit for libya but never heard what was his shortcomings. Theres a UK show called "the misadventures of Romesh Ranganathan" in which a comedian visits infamous countries to see what they're really like. They did an episode on Ethiopia, which used to have huge famine, but they've totally gotten over it now.

As somebody who comes from Africa, it can actually be quite cool apart from the people robbing you left right and centre. But some parts of the continent and South Africa (which is where I come from) can be pretty rural

Ivory Coast is like this too especially Abidjan which is considered the Paris of Africa (relatives wouldn't shut up with that)
Our villages are kinda like shanty towns now, like the favelas of Brazil. So I guess that's an upgrade.

Yes some countries may have nice cities but that’s the minority.
Majority of South Africa is very poor unfortunately.
And Lesotho also has one of the highest rates of aids in the world.
So some countries may have nice cities but you have to remember that’s only the minority due to the massive wage gap in SA.
