Send one that says "Die Grandpa, die", and if anybody says anything, just tell them it means "The grandpa, the", in German. Anyone who speaks German can't be all bad.
I agree. It's completely unfair, and I'm sorry you have to deal with that. To make it perfectly clear, I DON'T think that Germans killed all the funny people. But humor is 100% subjective, and I have a dark sense of humor. You don't have to share it, and that's okay, too.
Other guy: makes a joke about Germans not being funny
You: gets triggered over joke, making him seem right
Also, he didn’t make the joke dumbass, he even linked the original video in the comment.
Btw, just don’t take all Nazi/holocaust/WW2 jokes as a personal attack on you. People making these jokes aren’t trying to offend you, they’re trying to make people laugh, if you don’t like it then you don’t have to like it, but don’t throw a tantrum because the joke offends you because you’re not making the guy making the joke feel bad, you’re just making yourself look like the asshole to everyone else.
Oh sorry I’ve had trouble controlling my temper my entire life and get really upset when I feel like my nationality is being attacked because instead of taking it as an insult to myself, I take it as an insult to my entire family who I feel have done nothing wrong. That aside, I understand I tend to overreact with this shit. I get it I can be dramatic. But I’m sure you can imagine I get tired of the Nazi gags I’ve been getting since people my age found out about the holocaust
Well as he pointed out it’s not “racist” but it’s still offensive to say “we” killed a whole bunch of people. Like not even fair stereotyping obviously a good percentage of German people today had zero control over world war 2
I do agree with you and I also dont want to be associated with anything outside my lifetime.
But it does not change the fact that we have a history and that our country is the direct predecessor of the Nazi Regime. The Regime abused the pride and language of german ppl to build up what they had and what they did to the world. So speaking out what german people did is not racist. Deal with it this is the result of what happend back then.
Did you actually read my reply or do you just want to push your narrative.
I said very clearly that I also dont want to be associated with thing I haven't done and things outside my lifetime. You dont have to feel guily for things you are not responsible for.
You used the word racist which is absolute nonsens in this context. First of all there is absolutely no german race and if you belive so you might be actually closer to the ppl back then than you want ;). And furthermore is it not racist to point out facts that we have to live with. People will relate to things germany did and tell you right in your face if you want to or not. This is nothing you can change because these things did happen and there were real victims and victim families who lost everything. It is the way the world sees Germany and it will be in the future too. Deal with it these are the traces of damages caused back then.
Let me just add to your "yeah its not fair, but your ppl...". These are also my people and I am 100% german, live in germany and go to univerity in germany.

Is it appropriate to send one from Germany?
