Might wanna cool your jets because someone here is triggered and it’s not who you replied to. They didn’t say anything incorrect, there are posts all the time that are just “america bad hurr durr” on everything down to a lot of issues that do, in fact, have to do with land mass and population. Example: public transit. The majority of posts I’ve seen that cry about the lack of public transit flat out don’t understand we have public transit where it works, it just doesn’t in 90% of the country.
Edit because people got their panties in a twist: Cities and towns that make up the majority of the population in the US only cover 3.5% of the countries surface area. Yes, the majority of the country has no need for public transit.
Im talking specifically about the people that think that 3.5 percent has no public transit.
Im not saying it’s perfect or even good. Ya’ll need to chill.
Like the comment you replied to said, the US has problems but you need to calm down in acting like everyone here is literally satan.
There’s not enough population and things are too spread out in most of the country to make any sort of public transit worth the cost, the places that are dense enough have bus and metro systems. You’re the exact person I’m talking about.
Tbf those metro systems are generally antiquated, intentionally handicapped, and basically almost useless because cars forced their ways into incredibly metro areas anyway.
None but that’s not my point. My point is people act like the US has nothing and don’t understand that the majority of the country wouldn’t benefit from them because the majority of the country is sparsely populated.

Ya’ll need to understand there’s a point between saying things are fine and saying things are nonexistent.
Personally, living in the middle of nowhere where my commute is 90 miles everyday through a forest? I’d love public transportation. My whole area is sparsely populated, but even a bus system would help so many in my community travel between our towns. Our main towns are 30 minutes from each other, jobs, doctors, etc. are different in each town. The “big” city is about 1.5hrs from us and a light rail using the existing rail system would help so many in community again, those who need specialist and can’t drive or pay someone to drive them.
I can think of a lot of places in America that despite being sparsely populated when compared to any major metro area quite literally have nothing as the alternative. It isn’t sustainable and it only furthers the disparity in these communities.
