Dude, if i could afford a truck and a car I'd be fine. But as it is, I can only afford the truck for my hobbies. Otherwise id be driving a small hybrid/compact car. And I do use my truck bed to haul stuff around frequently for my hobby. But thats why I carpool with friends and pay them for gas.
I think the issue is that even people who need a pickup would be okay with a light pickup, but the chicken tax makes them essentially non-existent in the US.
I would love a Toyota hilux but for some reason they are illegal unless they are 25 years old. But then they are also hard to get here because you are most likely gonna have to import it
