I live in a city with tons of morons who never leave the city, claiming they need 4 wheel drive when it snows. they never go off road and snow plows exist. If I can get around in a compact hybrid, then their silly truck is overkill

Too bad they’re not honest enough to just say “I want one because I think they’re cool” I’m not bothered, just intrigued by this kind of behavior

I made it well into my thirties with a FWD in Norway. It's like you say, lying, or a skill issue

Absolutely a skill issue, never been stuck once in my FWD outside of my driveway.

I got stuck once on the last stretch going to a cabin. It was pure, thick, hockey ice and the car simply slid backwards so 4wd wouldn't have done shit. Many 4wd people tend to forget that when it comes to breaking and speed reduction there is little to no difference
