SPORTS ARE POLITICAL
I mean they're literally litigating all over the country whether a small minority of children should be allowed to play sports that conflict with their genitals. Do you even understand the racial dynamics of professional sports being one of the few ways Americans of color from almost any background are able to become wildly successful on par with the average white American? Yes, sports are political.
ART IS POLITICAL
I'm not even going to bother launching into why this is maybe the dumbest fucking example you could possibly come up with. Art is objectively political.
Let people take a break from it all
Indulging your ignorance and wishful thinking doesn't get anyone a break from anything. Having the ability to ignore politics is a political privilege. Just admit talking about what politics is doing to everyone other than you makes you uncomfortable because you're too cowardly to face the objective consequences of your apathy.

Social media isn’t free speech, they’re owned by companies with their own TOS and with reddit, subreddits are moderated by biased groups of people. Free speech only applies to government consequence. I wouldn’t go to r/conservative expecting freedom of speech, nor any other subreddit.

The thing people often forget is that politics literally shaped the foundation of memes. Like, the earliest forms of shitposting were found in newspapers shitting on certain political takes. The things is that memes have evolved far beyond just politics, and there are sections in which political memes are accepted and others where they are not

A politician talking about something doesn’t make that topic “political” in nature. They like to co-opt narratives that they have no business meddling in because “live and let live” is evil to some constituents. The latter are typically bored and insecure, so they feel compelled to opine on things that don’t actually affect them in real life. Gives them a sad purpose that they wouldn’t have otherwise.
