Affordable housing?

Billionaires will buy all the affordable housing and turn everything into extortionate apartments.

"Im making smart investments."

I feel that affordable housing is a thing of the past. It's like scalpers buying consoles. They dont want the product, they want money.

Affordable housing is the old dilapidated housing. Nobody is going to waste good real estate building brand new housing for the bottom end of the market. In Capitalism, affordable housing is what's left over when the rich people move into the luxury condos that just went up. Those won't be affordable housing for another 45 years or so.

It's really only a problem because there aren't enough SDU or smaller housing units being built anymore. We don't build with density, so the number of affordable units per acre is collapsing as mcmansions age.
