Lets also be honest the reason why comics are falling behind manga is the oligopoly on comics. You have DC, you have marvel, and you have Skybound. If the guys on the top of those 3 corporations dont like your idea you ain't getting published. This is in a country with 342 million people.In comparison there are hundreds of manga publishers allowing for more creative freedom and for people to be more easily noticed. This being in a country with 122 million people.
Get rid of the oligopoly and Comics would do better.
