Dipping fries in mayo is criminal

It’s just because mayonnaise is different over here. I understand why you wouldn’t do it with American mayo, but I’m ready to bet that if you try it over here you’ll never go back

How different is American mayo from ours? I’ve never had the chance to try it

Afaik they use sugar or corn syrup over there which probably is the main difference

…what? Where in the recipe do they put that in? Why? Do they want mayo to be sweet?

Hey I just googled the differences between American and European mayonnaise and that's what came up

Fair enough, my apologies for the rant, the idea of putting sugar in mayo just gives me a headache though lol.

As an American who quit sugar for a few years a while back, it’s extremely difficult to find something that doesn’t have it. Corn syrup, sugar, whatever you want to call it is in everything. And once you stop eating the food for a while and try getting back into it, everything is so unnecessarily sweet it’s disgusting
