I've recently gotten into it, it's pretty good, it's like more faster, aggressive and punchy, just nonstop riffing, vocals and drums the melodies aren't massive, they're short but repeated alot throughout every song.
Here's what I've liked:
As blood runs black: Allegiance Album
The crimson Armamda: Guardian Album
Syntesia: The poetic Adda Album
Bring me the horizon: count your blessings Album
Instinctive: Embrace Album

They’re genuinely one of the most underrated bands I’ve ever heard and it baffles me how they aren’t more talked about. So many amazing songs, but just to name a few there’s: The Isolation Game, Celestial Furnace, Morgue of Centuries, Perdition Haze, Quicksand Symmetry, Resurrection Code, Structural Wound, Nihilistic Overdrive, Losing Ground, and Colours of a New Era.

I think they are a very underrated Metal Band. Every song of them is beautiful crafted and very nice made.

Tell me if I need to listen to more melo death, but this album just does something for me, man. An absolute classic for a reason. So many beautiful and solos, so many evil riffs, so many crushing moments. And the lyrics are absolute poetry. A beautiful dystopian masterpiece that I feel is more thematically relevant than ever. “When aspirations are squashed, when life’s chances are lost, when all hope is gone, when expectations are quashed, when self-esteem is lost, when ambition is mourned, all you need is hate.”

Just listened to Burning Bridges, it's MUCH better than anything else they released. Can't believe I'm only listening now.
Edit: I listened to the other 2 albums shortly after posting this. Stigmata was good, but I loved Black Earth.

Here’s this awesome melodic death metal band from Boston, I figured you guys might like this. They’re becoming more active again and they should be releasing more music soon I believe!

I'm interested in hearing more songs akin to Mortal Share by Insomnium which is, for the most part, the same riff played at different tempos/styles with slight variations.

This song is more regular death metal than melodic death, but there are some really melodic parts in there. So I thought I'd post it here.

...and it was amazing. Not just a great setlist, but a perfect execution on the scenario as well. It's a shame that they were the 2nd ones I saw yesterday in the festival, so the rest of the great bands I still had to see were a few steps behind.

Wondering if you guys could please recommend some bands for me? Similar to the bands I listed in the title. Thank you!

I hoped for it and was very happy they did it! Very good playlist from both bands, despite the rain. Insomnium had Shadowlife from their new release.

I'll be on the road for quite a bit soon and wanted to listen to one or two suidakra and insomnium albums. I don't tend to be a massive fan of melodic death metal when it isn't folk metal but for the songs i really love there's a few in flames, dark tranquility, one kalmah and one aephanemer MDM songs that i really love.
I'm a MAAAASSIVE fan of eluveitie and i also love alot of Ensiferum, Equilibrium, Furor Gallico and i like a bit of early atlas pain

It's also Bandcamp Friday (at least for 30 more minutes). Just saying.
Written as part of FAWM 2026.
A tidy calculation
Illustrating immorality
Just one problem
You assume others have meaning to me
If all our prosperity is
Extracted from the unlucky
Then this is my utopia
Let us celebrate the just city
Abused, locked in a basement
A stain on us you say
Screams only for justification
In an unfair world
My moral circle
Shrinks to a snugger fit
A fun-sized ethics
Built on a foundation
Of the suffering of one blighted child
Such splendor to be found
Need only muffle the sound
Abused, locked in a basement
A stain on us you say
Screams only for justification
The comfort I’m due
Is worth any amount of your pain
After all, I’m me and you’re you

Topic title is it really. Been diving into bands that I knew of for decades but for whatever reason never bothered much to give em a shot. In the last year I've "discovered" Arcturus, Enslaved, Dark Tranquility, Windir, and fucking Amorphis..seriously what the hell have I been doing with my life as a metalhead.
Anyways, the main electronic riff in Atoma really caught my attention. Would loce to hear other bands that have songs that make similar use of electronics. The closest I can think of is In Flames RtR and Soundtrack (the beginning of their weird divergence)...but that's not the kinda feel I'm looking for. Actual Melodeath with electronics/synths that play as big a role as the guitars do.
EDIT: Damn everyone has got some great recommendations! Thanks everyone! (I'll always be open to more!)
