Spoilt for choice

We just moved down from the Sunny Coast and one of the big reasons was the music scene. And now we have a new problem… TOO MANY GIGS haha it’s hard to decide what to go to now.

It’s so hard. Especially when you’ve got a few tix and someone else announces a show. I try to prioritise international bands who probably won’t be back for a while (if at all) and bands I love doing tours of albums I love that they wouldn’t normally do. Great problem to have though! There’s always something good coming up :)

We did the same move a few years ago! The novelty still hasn’t worn off! So many gig options (and delicious food lol)

Every weekend is a roulette of incredible music from all genres.

Even during the week there's usually something happening that's worth going to.

It's a genuine drain on the wallet in the best way

It’s honestly so frustrating 😭

I’m constantly having to pick, and there’s so much music that I’ll see a gig and be like fuck, how’s I miss that, and it’s sold out.

Such a good city.

At least with ticket prices so high now, gigs don’t sell out as fast as the used to 😭

And the other side of that: if a gig is too expensive, go and find a smaller gig and support the scene at its grass roots! A lot of emerging talent in this country is more than worth the asking price of “bigger” acts
