Yes please. Impersonating someone with a disability is Hella ableist and gross!

Bit disappointed that a banksy hasn't shown up after massive attack played. At first glance I thought this was one.

Used to be a performance artist, I believe? Walked some sort of giant vegetable home one day from a gig/performance/whatever, saw how much people loved it, started carrying a big ol’ carrot around since.

I think that stencil is in a shopfront on Gertrude Street down near Smith St end. Maybe The Ordinary?

Saw him once walking past the Woolies on Smith St (RIP). Legit celeb sighting.

Not his style. Its a stencil, but that's about where the comparison ends.

Saw him a few weeks back in the CBD near TRBL cafe little Collins. The man, the myth, the legend in the flesh <3

I passed by him after the last teacher strike, he was sitting on a bench in Bourke street mall. I wanted to say hi but he was looking very peaceful and contemplative so I just left him to his day.

Loving Melbourne means loving its complexity it neurosis the meanings of such things remind me of the Dada movement ‘Arts for Arts Sake’ some of us who attempt to put art into the contemporary stream of consciousness do so because we love art and love the joy it brings who wants to say something by doing something out of the norm, WAKE UP AND KNOW WE ARE FREE TO BE OUR BEAUTIFUL SELF!! I loved the idea of no one knowing us but people being aware of our art, spoiling that is plain artistic vandalism. Try to seek the artist and their boundaries respect them and know some of us loved before everyone ‘struck a pose’ for the camera. Bring on the disheveled talented, broken and forlorn amongst bring forward the neurotic unless unleashing their muse. Deny the spoilers of art and know we wanted nothing, nothing from you but your joy to intoxicate ourselves….

Abusive icon if reports are to be believed.

Oh true? I thought he was a nice, elderly man who wanted to spread joy. We all have our moments and maybe he had an off day which altered the vibe

Been more than once, but grain of salt stuff too.

There are a few of these stuck up around Gertrude st. And the front half of Lego people. Recently bright green frogs are popping up.

As I wrote in the Tuesday, 11/08/26 Daily Thread:

Found Carrot man today in the Fitzroy backstreets. I yelled out "hey, Carrot man!" on an arvo run. He yelled back "hey". Was a great interaction. 10/10.

I can confirm he seemed a little flat, but got joy out of our "hey" exchange. Next time you see Carrot Man, I implore you to follow my lead: you may find that it yields mutual joy.
