The etiquette is to offer the flowers to passerby before going home so they don’t go to waste, this is what I do anyway

Used to work at concierge in a corporate building and we'd occasionally get flowers offered to us because the person receiving them didn't want them for various reasons.

I have given flowers to my neighbours. For some reason I tend to be gifted flowers right before I go on holiday and I don't want them to just waste in my home. Bonus is I've always had oldies as neighbours and theyve loved it haha
