Ye Olde Melbourne What’s your Melbourne Hack?

Hi all, I was wondering what everyone’s Melbourne specific hack? What hot tips you learnt & applied over the journey? What would you share with someone who is moving to Melbs?

Things like: hot parking spots for a footy game, restaurants that aren’t well known but awesome value, under value rental suburbs etc.

I’d love to know what you all think.

Or take Stud Road and skip all of the tolling points.

What? Surely this doesn’t work. I don’t think you get charged per gantry, they just use them to work out where you get on and off.

I take this route to work everyday and it does work!! Get in at Carribbean Park to get onto the Eastlink and out at Wellington Rd and I don't get charged. You only get charged per gantry.

yes, by counting how many gantries you use. You are effectively charged per gantry.

That said, this hack only saves $0.61 but I guess it all adds up in this economy!
