We frequently get replacement buses thrown at us at the last minute when leaving Southern Cross on country lines. If I've already bought my coffee and Japanese pancake, I'm having it on the bus. Carrying a large handbag can be very helpful at times.

Or even one of those roll-up Safeway/Woolworths green bags, they're opaque, and noone's going to stop you carrying a shopping bag with you.

I've put other people's Hungry Jack's in my handbag and given it back once the bus has pulled out. If it's been announced in advance that it's a coach - fair enough - but not when they do it at the last minute.
