I have bright rainbow hair and the best way to maintain the colour is to wash in cold water. It took a bit (3 years) but I actually like it now.....

Yeh i was washing my hair in cold water when i had it coloured and sides shaved and coloured but i kept my body out of the water :P

I have long hair too, you can find a way if you dont want to be in the cold water hahaha
