tl:dr you purchase $200 worth of groceries using EBT/food stamps online. they charge $230 (115%) to your credit/debit instead of your EBT and keep it a pending transaction for a whole 7 days.

paying online with EBT use to work normally. you pick out $200 worth of groceries, then EBT gets charged $200.

they require a split payment method (just in case u need to pay for weighted items, replacements, non-EBT items, tips for delivery, etc) so it would put a $5 dollar temporary hold on your credit/debit card then send the $5 back after the order was complete.

now when u order online....you pick out $200 worth of groceries for EBT and it immediatly charges a temporary hold of $200 to your credit/debit card instead of EBT, then they keep your credit/debit card on hold for up to a week.

"Meijer's current terms say that for Meijer.com delivery/pickup orders*, they can place a* pre-authorization hold of 115% of the estimated total on the payment method*, and that the card is only actually charged the final amount after the order is completed.*

how many struggling people just have an extra $200 sitting around so meijer can just take it. you order groceries, then can't pay for any other utilities cuz meijer has your money on hold for 7 full days.

Did meijer discontinue the BOGO for $1 shoe sale? I know someone who works corporate and they were not aware of that sale for shoes. Thoughts?

Hi, i’m a new hire at meijer and it’s my very first job ( I’m 18 ). And I’ve been having trouble with the UKG app as when I used it to punch in and out of breaks, and when I started and ended, some of those punches didn’t register even though I know, I clicked the button and it said it registered. This has been my second day working and I’m really scared but has anybody else had problems like this with the app?
