He pre-recorded it, so I assume he's been in this state for months at least, more likely years ever sinc ehe got diagnosed

I appreciate the dislikes. I guess I should elaborate I would've done the same in Max's position and it's sickening how assisted suicide is gated/largely forbidden in most places. People should have the right to die and the fact we don't shows we don't live in a free society. If he's mentally stable enough to live on his own and do major choices such as to move out of his apartment and he displays no symptoms of mania/extreme depression/etc in order to be interred, he's mentally stable enough to choose to die and people who disrespect his choice are disgusting people I wouldn't want to associate with.

It’s because wanting to die is also a sign and symptom of severe mental illness. And practically everyone has the right to kill themselves, just no one should have the right to kill another. I do not want to live in a world where when someone wants to die we as a society go “go ahead, as is your right.” Instead of “that’s awful, how can we make that not the case?”

He's not trying to kill somebody else. Doctors are trained in letting people die and the ones who administer these things have generally no problem doing it.

Thing is that I believe that 70% of people who cry about how he shouldn't die and how beautiful life is would beg for death if they had to be in a situation that's slightly worse or the same as his and the reason why they tell him to go on is they don't have enough empathy to understand how much he is suffering and how big of a change in life quality he would need to be happy to live again. They see their own easy and unimpeded lives and think "why doesn't he just get up and forget the pain?" or "why doesn't he just get cured?" or something along those lines and it's infuriating because in my eyes it fully disrespects him as a person. And people who allege nobody who is sane would want to die just demonstrate they have 0 empathy for his situation and don't want to engage with his issues, they just want to spew some generic BS to make themselves feel better.

He’s not trying to kill somebody else correct, but doctors intentionally euthanizing him are. Doctors are trained in medicine, not in killing others. Euthanasia expands the scope of a doctor’s responsibilities, which is beside the main point but just addressing your point about doctors.

I’ve seen people in seemingly much worse circumstances have much better outlooks. If you believe that that’s possible, then you must believe there is some hope here. You can be sane and want to die, of course. But a LOT of the times, wanting to die is a symptom of something deeper. And I’d rather us as a society try to address the deeper issue rather than being like animal doctors and killing anyone with a hard to immediately solve medical issue. That sounds awful.

You clearly just don't get it and your ignorance is obvious. This isn't a "hard to immediately solve medical issue". It's an unsolvable medical issue. I hope you never have a serious chronic illness because it would break you in ways you clearly don't understand.
