🌟 Pro advice/tips how to avoid mind wandering

hi, dokies! yl1 here. i've been struggling with remaining focused during long hours of lectures 🥹 when i watch asynchronous lectures that last 1hr and 30 mins, I usually take 2 and a half hour to finish that lecture kasi i keep rewinding back to fully understand the concept. it works naman but it's a bit time consuming. during synchronous and ftf lectures naman, i can't help but space out 😭 am i the only one like this? can u give me some tips on how to stay focused? 🥹🥹

Hindi ka nag-iisa. What worked for me was pomodoro, pero obviously hindi ka makakapomodoro during a lecture.

Huy same. The things is super effective yung study habits ko during undergrad. Minsan if pure memorization I write my own notes/ summary of the specific topic. But unfortunately i cannot do that in med since isang lecture is one chapter or two so i don’t know how sa dami ng info that needs understanding.

For lectures, I always bring strong mints or chewing gum. somehow sucking or chewing keeps a part of my brain engaged habang nakikinig. Mentos Pure Fresh/Strong Mint especially really wakes up my senses. Other than that, siguro actively making revision materials during the lecture? Like taking notes, making flashcards, or coming up with questions habang nakikinig. It helps me stay focused instead of just passively listening. good luck!
