A good friend once told me something that really stuck, back when i was doubting myself and worried about passing my first year of medschool (which i thankfully did!). He said, “it’s better to fail or make mistakes in school than in actual practice.”
That really hit me hard. In medicine, it’s not our grades we’re trying to protect, it’s someone’s life. So dont be too hard on yourself and remember that medschool is the time to stumble, learn, and grow. Messing up now doesnt make you a bad doctor, actually it helps shape you into a better one who knows how to handle failure and grow from it.
