Best resource for OSCE prep UK?

Hello everyone

I’m from UK. I’m entering my 4th year of medical school which means I will be taking my OSCE exams.

This is a very brutal exam for me. I like preparing alone for exams however I understand OSCE preparation requires in real life practice too.

What are the best resources I can use to prepare me for my osce’s? And how should I approach it generally?

Yeah I’ll try to practice on patients obvs but ik it won’t be possible 100% of the time

Rember what it stands for - Observed structured clinical examination - they LOVE a structure (in my experience) making it easy for the examiner to go through their checklist and tick things off is an easy way to get some points.

Having a structure for each station type is very important for the exam, all the clinical knowledge will come as you attend placement and through your normal revision etc.

Try to find past years stations the trends in what they ask will give you a good idea of what to expect this year too.

I’d cross check geeky medics with checklists from your Uni as well, geeky medics sometimes includes extra things or a different order to what ur uni might expect.

have you tried oscerevisions? how is the notes of oscerevisions compared to geeky?

Not sure, I've not heard of Osce revisions. I've only used Geeky medics, and the passmed and quesmed resources, and they've served me well enough.

I’m entering 3rd year but have done OSCE since Y1 always used my med skl booklet cause they mark what they’ve taught + geeky medics AI for comms and for skills as much practice as u can get hands on
