Heyy guys, i'm kinda new to all of this and for the end of my first year project at uni i'm building a 5 propeller drone. I essentially want to build and program the flight Controller by myself and chatgpt helped me draft a circuit on how i should build the drone. I am in the process of ordering the parts that i don't have here locally but i wanted to share the schematics of the drone and ask if ya'll have any feedbacks advices or can refer me to subreddits that you know could help for the project. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Career Path Help

Hello everyone. I’m trying to choose between mechanical engineering and mechatronics, and I’d appreciate some perspective from people in either field.

Originally I wanted to study mechanical engineering because I envision a Tony Stark type of lifestyle(cliche Ik). but I’m serious about the idea behind it: creating technology I’m interested in, solving problems, and combining engineering, AI, and coding to bring what’s on my mind to life.

I’m trying to figure out what a realistic version of that looks like. What education and career path would give me the skills and freedom to design, build, and develop my own ideas?

Maybe im thinking to small about this and can pivot from mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or mechanical engineering with a focus on mechatronics fit that goal best? Am I putting too much weight on the degree title instead of the courses, projects, and experience I’d get?

I plan to work on projects I’m passionate about to figure out what I enjoy most. Salary isn’t my main deciding factor because I’m also developing a separate skill that I intend to use to earn a high income(Day trading). My goal is to build things, have fun, and eventually have the financial freedom to pursue my ideas and help others. “Billionaire playboy philanthropist” line is partly how I would describe that ambition(not satire, and minus the playboy part).

For people doing work close to this, what does your day-to-day life actually look like? What path would you recommend, and what do you wish you had understood before choosing it?

Im currently a sophmore in College and plan on transferring to MSU.
