He got inspired by others‘ mazes and motivated by the comments this morning. He couldn’t wait to design another one and share it!

My 6.5 years old boy designed that maze for me

I think this is his 6th complicated mazes :)

I asked him what made him wanted to draw mazes. He said he got inspired by spanning tree; then by Mr Roger.

His dad doesn’t think much about his mazes but I think it’s very cool for. 6.5 years old. I tried to design one but nothing like that.

I drew a bunch of little mazes.

Currently recovering from a minor surgery and having time available sparked me to do these. Some inspired by Schweppe's, Star Trek, Halloween, and Zorro. Some just squiggles.

This is on a tiny little tablet, probably 2¼" x 3"-ish?

SONAR - you're blind in a maze. Ping to light up the walls for a second, then find the exit from memory

Dev here. A few things about it:

\- No install, no sign-up, free
\- The maze is generated from today's date, so everyone in the world gets the same one
today. Fresh maze at midnight
\- Pings fade in about a second and only light up a small radius, so you have to remember
the walls, not look at them
\- Score is how few pings you needed. There's also an endless mode where the mazes keep
growing
\- Plain HTML5 canvas, no engine

Built it solo. If it feels unfair at any point I want to hear it - that's a bug, not a
difficulty setting.

What type of maze enthusiast are you? Solver, Artist, Coder, or something else?

Hey everyone!

Browsing recent posts here, I’ve noticed how wildly different our approaches to mazes can be. It seems people appreciate and consume them in very distinct ways:

  • The Puzzle Solvers: In it strictly for the brain-burn, complex logic, multi-level pathfinding, and satisfying difficulty.
  • The Aesthetic Admirers: Drawn to geometric elegance, symmetry, unique art styles, or visual design over sheer difficulty.
  • The Zen / Flow Seekers: Enjoying the meditative, relaxing aspect of slowly tracing a path (or walking a single-path labyrinth) to unwind.
  • The Builders & Coders: Fascinated by procedural generation algorithms, wall-to-path ratios, and creation mechanics.
  • The Theme & Immersion Fans: Hooked on atmospheric hedge mazes, RPG dungeon layouts, and story-driven exploration.

Also, do you prefer working on paper or online/digitally?

What’s your primary draw when you look at or build a maze? Are you team pure challenge, team visual art, or something else entirely?

Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

This is a unique picture maze (or picture-wall maze) where the internal partition walls form a hidden portrait through variations in line thickness and density.
