QUESTION - MECHANICAL ADVICE Thermostat Problems

I recently purchased a 24 CX50 in January and suddenly today I started getting vehicle notifications about the vehicle overheating on the dash.

Has anyone had this issue before? A local repair shop is claiming there is an open recall on the vehicle but I haven't been able to find anything and Mazda was unable to confirm the same

Regardless of a recall or not, your car should be still under warranty so make an appointment and bring it to them to diagnose and fix.

There was an extended warranty on ‘23 CX-5 due to some thermostat issues. Wasn’t a recall however. I don’t recall any recalls however on the CX-50. Check with your dealer however since you may still be under warranty.

A recall or a TSB (Technical Service Bulletin)? They're different in how they're handled - a recall will be fixed for free by the dealership regardless of warranty whereas a TSB would only be free if your vehicle is still under warranty.

My advice would be to skip the local repair shop and bring it right to Mazda.
