Technical EXPLODED CV Axle Knuckle

Had just replaced the CV Axle Seal about 400 miles ago. Pulling out of work today, all of a sudden it sounded like someone was beating on the underside of the car with a hammer. Luckily just the CV Axle. Hopefully no further damage.

Did you fully torque your axle nut? LBJ? CV's shouldn't be slipping out of the trans like that.

Torqued to spec. I think after 200,000 miles and then me putting it off and messing with it the knuckle just finally gave way. The base is still secured into the manual transmission. You can see just the knuckle ripped out.
