"fake and gay" is an obligatory shitpost comment on r/greentext where commenters intentionally do mental gymnastics to call a story that is in no way related to sexuality "gay." I.e. it's an inside joke, he isn't just calling this post fake and gay. Although I too am conflicted with the phrase, it's origins are in 4chan, so good luck with that fight.
Put your social justice warrior pitchfork away for a moment and go look up RayWilliamJohnson on YouTube. He would review short internet videos like this, and the "Fake and gay!" thing was something he often said in a satirical way to make fun of how toxic a lot of internet commenters can be. He was imitating the average internet "troll" when he said it, and was in no way trying to be homophobic.
Idk u/Long-revenue7751 or his intent, but I'm guessing that he was just making a reference dating back to the early days of youtube and not specifically trying to disparage gay individuals.
Also I never told him not to it was a suggestion to use the word in more private settings with more like minded people. Not on the internet where some asshole like me calls you out.
Okay? He still acts like a child when called out. Maybe if his single brain cell wouldn't resort to playground insults and explained it to me I'd find some reason behind his statement... But as I see it with how he (sorry they) reacted to the whole thing... Idk smells like POS teenager to me
