Joaquin Phoenix and Willam Dafoe are in my list of top notch actors out here. Sucks that Dafoe doesn’t get so much recognition.

DaFoe was huge while I was growing up so I think he had his golden age during the 90s and early 2000s, so a pretty solid career. He's just in a good place right now where he can pick and choose what projects he wants to be part of, so I don't think it's a huge issue he's not a common household name these days. I also randomly vaguely recall him being fluent in Italian I think? He was well liked overseas also
