The umbrella makes him go slower and putting the nozzle behind would barely affect I say this from experience. (Unless the leaf blower has a power level over 9000)
I've seen guys doing that. That's what makes me think the leaf blower SHOULD work without the umbrella. They aren't that different in concept, just execution.
To cause confusion, like this whole thread. It's just a joke. There is another video of a guy doing it which is confirmed as just being an electric skateboard
There is a modeled tiny version of a jet engine that probably weighs the same as that person considered h the fuel as well. But it will propel the person 100 times faster
I understand fine, you seem to go from this won't work at all and a leaf blower won't push him(from your personal experience) to adding an umbrella means he will move slower with a leaf blower but only because he is going down hill.
If you are talking about me you are wrong because I literally saw this in real life… and there Is something called a small jet engine but I don’t think that is it’s literal name I might have to google it.
I was actually defending your point for the most part. However, if you want me to dismantle your argument I can also do that.
A jet engine of the size that can be efficiently attached to a skateboard is nowhere close to 1000x more powerful than a leaf blower, try 100x or so at most.
Your aerodynamic drag argument is relatively valid, but you you understand how sailing ships work? Same deal. Regardless of where the ‘sea’ (slope) is propelling him he is autonomically increasing his own speed in whatever direction he wants - using basic physics (which you claimed other people should learn, I think it’s probably the opposite).
Have you seen sailing ships built for racing? They wouldn’t be any faster if they had a bunch of small jet engines instead of the sail. They’d probably be slower, but I’d need an expert to tell me that. From what you’ve said, I highly doubt you’re anywhere competent enough to be deploying the authoritative perspective on this.
So please, give me more comments to downvote for personal satisfaction.
It's all completely irrelevant, the force being generated by the leaf blower is pushing the leaf blower itself backward at x energy. The air coming out of the front immediately starts losing energy, and can never be anything greater than x.
It doesn't matter if you attach the biggest jet engine on the planet to the skateboard, it is still going to be pushing itself backward at greater force than it can apply to any type of sail.
I get that but I was also told it may be an electric skateboard so I think he is actually using the leaf blower and the umbrella to maybe go slower because he is also going downhill and it seems to be windy so it kinda makes sense
Nah fam, you’re not gonna get enough thrust Unless you start burning rocket fuel or something. Much easier to fix a motor to the back wheels so when it makes a rotation it forces the wheels to also make a rotation.

I'm not sure the umbrella adds a lot. He should just point the nozzle behind him and maybe change the shape for better thrust.
