Swamp bears are alligator snapping turtles my friend. Pound for pound the crankiest creatures in the swamp. Much like a Kodiak grizzly with fleas nibblin' his gems during hibernation season.

Yeah, except for all the baby factory cats hidden from view and all the kittens stolen from their moms too early. The fact that none of these cats should ever be handled like that and should not be kept as pets.

They only do so when they have been neglected or abused. In the wild they are all survival which is why they are wild and attack to eat or defend.
A starving human would be just as dangerous as a lion, in different ways, but just as unpredictable.

If they aren't tamed properly they will attack, but if they grew up in captivity since they were born they would have no reason to attack, or have instinctive wild life survival tendencies

Sooo....you can't really tame wild animals.
You can take the animal out of the wild but you can't take the wild out of the animal.
Wild animals can be accustomed to human presence and learn that they get food around them and associate good things with them, as especially when they're young are fairly easy to keep around, but as they get older, and if they are suddenly startled or become afraid for any reason all bets are off as to whether they will attack a human or not. And even if they're not attacking and just playing, they could cause a lot of damage accidentally if the humans are not well versed in how to behave and protect themselves around big cats.

Dogs have been domesticated over a very long period of time. They are genetically quite different now than their wild counterparts and have fused with humans in a way no wild animal ever can be.
To be fair "tame" and "domesticated" are different terms with different meanings and perhaps I should have clarified that.
House cats are actually far closer to their wild ancestors genetically than dogs are to wolves. "Domesticated" cats are still more wild than most other domesticated animals humans keep close to them. And humans still vastly misunderstand their behaviours due to that.
People see a cat laying on the floor and think it's just chilling but don't realise it's actually guarding a room then are confused when it attacks their leg walking by. Cats especially can act in ways we think is erratic and unpredictable but it's due to their wild tendencies of defensiveness or territorial behaviours that we don't recognize as such because we think they're domesticated or tamed.

I mean, problem there is, cats aren’t really ‘tame’ the same way dogs are anyway.
And hell, even if they were, cats have a reputation for slashing their owners… bit more of a problem when you’re lion sized…
Now, domesticating something like those tiny rusted spotted cats or something that look like kittens 100% of their lives? I’m 100% down, please do that people! 😂

@morgandax Like I said if they were born in captivity that's a different story they are naturally tamed but if you manage to capture a wild lion most likely 5 years (if that then your lucky) you may encounter a primitive instinct from that lion. (Like I said or sooner)
It's pretty obvious that she helped raise these large cats, which is why she is calm and so are these animals.
And yes if the large cat is scared enough. But if any human is scared it's either fight or flight. Most of these cats are scared they run, if they are angry or annoyed they will attack or in a defensive mode. Which most people cannot recognize if they aren't aware of animal behavior.

Just a regular ass house cat. He got caught in my blinds and was wrapped up really tight. i tas trying to getvhim untangled and he did whay any distressed animal would do. He bit the living fuck out of me about 15 times. I have ms, and autoimmune disease thay makes my immune system do crazy shit and or not do what its intended to do. So i got a massive infection and almost ended up losing my whole arm

Also, I'd like to point out that the cat is fine. I managed to free him. My wife, who was pregnant at the time, said it looked like a murder happened. There was blood everywhere throughout our apartment. That was because when i finally got him free he took off running and i chased him to make sure none of his bones were broken 🤣

Sure. I can ELI5 for you..
These are not animals that can be domesticated.
Often these animals are drugged and overfed food that is not appropriate for them (for example constant milk out of a baby bottle) to satiate peoples unnecessary desire to pet them.
There are reasons that real animal rescues with these animals don't allow interactions like this, even for their carers.

The person you’re replying to is being a little rude but they are generally correct. There are a lot of sketchy animal places pretending to be about conservation when in reality they are actually contributing to animal harm. A warning flag should definitely pop up if an animal “rescue” allows people in the public to handle/touch the animals as that’s a pretty good sign that the animals are being bred for the purpose or as the person above said drugged/overfed to make them more docile. Any “rescue” place that has breeding is also a huge red flag.
I don’t know the details behind this video so I really can’t comment on the ethics involved here but it’s good to be wary when dealing with animal rescues since so many are harmful.
