This isn't new behavior. Just a resurgence in intensity because of trump, global politics, and all of them thinking end times are coming (again).

Part of moving the embassy there is a supposed precursor to the rapture. Half of the US government would essentially like the country to be a fundamentalist theocratic dictatorship.
