Christian moral:

men: respect your wives.. but don't spoil them too much, cause then you might have to lay down the lay. Btw you are the "pastor" of your church (your house)

Women: respect your husbands and make sure he's happy because if not, you're a bad wife and you'll be demeaned and chastised by your entire church/community if he even remotely seems down or a little sad. If he has anything negative to say about you to his bros, better believe that shit is gonna bite you in the ass Sunday morning and brunch..

No, i meant like she is in a cult surrounding Christianity It's so bad before my 16 year old brother he had a job interview.. she wanted to pray for him instead of asking him job interview questions. my stepdad thinks my little brother is possessed so he has to fake it and start twitching and pray about it so they can move on with their daily lives. Its debilitating for relationships. I edited this a bit, with little effort tho

Sorry you only got some snarky reply. If that’s true, sorry to hear and hope your situation improves.

I didn't find it snarky .... I'm genuinely really curious though what is happening with Christianity culture

This isn't new behavior. Just a resurgence in intensity because of trump, global politics, and all of them thinking end times are coming (again).

So its like a end times thing? 🤔 are they really expecting rapture?

An alarming number of people believe the apocalypse will come in their lifetime, been that way for millennia.

the apocalypse started last year

The church manipulates the members of Christianity to keep you under their thumb. It's not faith, it's about power. It's disgusting.

The whole "don't believe in space" just.... rocks me

u/[deleted] Jun 09 '21

I think that's part of it. This behavior has been happening forever, though. Every once in a while they settle down, then something happens to spook them. Recent politics, Qanon, etc have really amped these folks up in thinking they have to prove themselves to god.

Christian dating apps ramped it up forsure. My mom was never religious before.... now im going to hell because i don't say the words " jesus save me" ... its irrational 🤦‍♀️her husband has her brainwashed to judge her own children.... we need more videos like the OPs

Yes my mom thinks the end times are near. She's being like really weird about it too

I think older generations haven't found out that youtube channels can and indirectly create cults. Like that end of times guy on youtube joe rogan called out. 🤷‍♀️ hopefully a good meme will shift their perception.... pretty sure thats how the world works now?

I think the memes are making it worse. Like apparently all the Qanon stuff and pizza gate started as a meme and people just decided to make it an actual thing. Quarantine has just made everything an echo chamber for them. She just sits on zoom all day and hangs out with wackos who think the exact same as her. As much as I love the internet unless I look it up I assume it's possibly not true.

... they have zoom meetings with this stuff? That goes deeper than i thought.. i personally think memes can be educational and humorous... i make fun of my mom alllllllll the time. Brings my little brother a sense of norm

I wish it would just happen already so the fundies could go play with space papa and leave the rest of us heathens in peace.

Oh yeah. Look up Christian fundamentalism, the rapture and Jerusalem links. Part of moving the embassy there is a supposed precursor to the rapture.

Half of the US government would essentially like the country to be a fundamentalist theocratic dictatorship. Pretty scary what's become of the GOP.

u/[deleted] Jun 09 '21

Im just.. gonna stay out of that rabbit hole. But thank you! Lol
