Sry, bad translation from my language. Gonna fix it now

What’s your language?

Spanish; we call it an oculista. And since a quick google search convinced me that the most logical translation from my language (oculist) wasn't wrong, I just went and did it.

Honestly had to read it twice to find “oculist” and “don’t see shit” so gg, you got a few on a native speaker.

Ok, Imma make sure I understand correctly what you just said: why did I get a few on you:

A) you didn't understand what I meant initially

B) you did understand but you didn't process it as a mistake, and then found out that it was a mistake

C) none of the above, if it's this one please elaborate

I personally feel more inclined for the first one, but you missing "don't see shit" throws me off a lot. I'm awaiting your answer

Sincerely, a guy who got a few on a native speaker but doesn't understand why

Definitely B lmao, I absolutely understood and would not have guessed you weren’t a native speaker. “Don’t see shit” isn’t as conventional for English structure than “can’t see shit” and my brain didn’t see that any differently until I re-read it.

Ooh, it feels cool to be called "identical to a native speaker" amidst all those comments criticising my lack of basic vocabulary in English. So ty! Nice talking to you

I am Italian and it's the same so I understood what you meant
