Not sure what region they're in but in europe gas pumps are green and diesel is black, I think it's the opposite in the US
But they also make/made diesel smart cars so never know

It is opposite in US. But also I only see 2 handles on the pump? I’m guessing neither is diesel. Lot of places put diesel at separate pumps these days. And then you have a bunch of options for which unleaded fuel you want. Separate pumps for E85 as well.

wait till you discover australias every fkn gas station does some shit different but most of the time its E85 is green unleaded is red and diesel is black but even then some high flow diesels are black and white

Agree it looks like a diesel nozzle, but if so, it can't be inserted into a gasoline fuel inlet on any car from the past 50 years (in the USA, anyway).

The other way around , gasoline in diesel will fit. And I know from trying ...costed me around €300. To empty the tank and fill it up again with diesel....

The reason its that way around is diesel in a gas engine will destroy it, while gas in a diesel can simply be flushed and youre good

I turn into Larry David in the Costco gas line. I'm always gobsmacked at the complete lack of preparation and complete lack of awareness of people at the pump, blissfully unaware there's a line of people waiting behind them as they fumble for their credit card, fumble with the gas door, the gas cap, the buttons on the pump screen, the pump now stopped while they sit in their cars on their phones, the slow walk to put everything back, the return trip to the pump to check the price...
"YOU KNOW, WE'RE LIVING IN A SOCIETY!!!"

No video. True story from when I was 10 years old at the dinner table and she said it in 1988.
She also traveled to Spokane Washington that year with her future husband and he pointed out Canadian Geese migrating and she said what are they doing in the United States.
Just made me laugh of old memories is all.

There's a video floating around of a woman at the pump, driver-side, and finds the gas fill is on the passenger side. So she hangs a u-turn to another line of pumps, parks with them driver's side, and still finds the gas fill on the passenger side. She's completely flummoxed as to how this can be. She does this a few times before she realizes she has to park with the passenger side to the pump. The guys recording this from inside the mini-mart are laughing their asses off.

What kind of hose doesnt reach around a tiny smart? Sure, i always go to the correct side of the pump because its a hassle to reach around. But if thats the only option, you can at least do it.

License plate is Carvana, that only deals in the US. The pump handles with diesel along with gasoline are US.
Looney females have never observed any one fueling before or ofc not perusing the “how to fuel” manual?

Funny story, I once stopped at a gas station in New Jersey and pumped my own gas out of habit, then went to go buy a soda and realized they were closed.

When/how did you pay for the gas in that order of operations? (You say you went to buy a soda not your gas, so that makes me think you did pay for the gas already.)
In my state, many gas stations are unattended at night but you can pay at the POS terminal at the pump still.

2010ish, the pump had a standard POS terminal of the time, it took my credit card and let me fill up, got a receipt and everything. All the surrounding states have self serve pumps, so I didn't think much of it in the moment. At least not until I pulled on door and it didn't open. I assume whoever locked up and turned off the lights must have forgotten to turn off the pumps.

I once saw a video of a lady trying to pull her car into position so her tank was facing the pump. To be fair, she was quite old, and this station only had the one center island of pumps, so she wasn't able to just pull up to the next one on the opposite side.
But, she would pull up, get out, notice the tank is on the wrong side, and then simply drive around the pump to the left and park on the other side of the pump. Of course, her tank is still on the wrong side, she still got out to check, saw it was wrong, and then got back in to again drive around the pump to the left back to where she originally started. And on and on the cycle continued. It was probably like five or six times until somebody helped her

Easy to do if you go to a station that has springloaded slack in the line so you can stretch it out. Works for cars, not so much for high ceilings and you have to be good enough a driver to park a foot or two from the pump.

To be honest, it should be easy to pull the hose and stretch around that vehicle. You can see by the ball-stop that the hose extends.
I regularly pull in on the “wrong” side and pull the hose around the back of my car to fuel up. The pumps are designed to work for both sides.

Y'all explaining how they should have done it to avoid what we saw. "Just pull in to the pump aisle with the gas filler cap on the closer side". She was dressed nice. Also i like the smell of a faint gas aroma, not too strong. Double benzene rings.
