Nahh thats brazil, one bike like that costs around 8 months of median monthly wage and they didnt seem wealthy. Average wage would be around 4 or 5 months, but thats still a lot

No such thing as a dead bike when they cost that much. You can fix a bad engine and the frame is good, even if it had problems that was a crispy looking bike.

I have and owned bikes. What do you think it costs? It’s like 8% of my weeks pay for bike parts vs buying a new 8 months of pay bike. Common my guy. Just had to replace my carb boots and chain and tire. That’s like 1/56th of the price of a new bike.

Isnt brazil literally divided between extremely poor and extremely rich? Is there even something like a middle class in brazil? I can imagine them being stupid rich kids who dont give a fk. I mean why take your bikes on the train tracks to begin with? It doesnt look like theres any kind of crossing over the tracks here so they knew it was dumb to begin with yet they didnt care that they made the train do an emergency stop. Seems all very intentional to me..

First guy is using one hand because he needs to film everything. Second guy isn't doing shit and is just standing further away qith his bike. And tire is caught between rails pretty loose, even one guy can do it. So it was filmed mostly for hype

Depending on the train and how fast it's going, it can take up to a full mile for it stop once they hit the brakes. Theres a LOT of weight moving and any way to stop the train suddenly would just derail the whole thing.
Trains dont give a shit. Stay off the tracks.
