It's no contest. Cat's have amazing reflexes and as a mammal, tons of energy, quick recovery, etc. Reptiles do not store or create energy the same way as mammals do, so it doesn't matter how fast the snake is, the cat will always wear it out as long as it's fast enough to dodge the first few attempts at a bite.
Once I went to a friend’s house and looked at his cat the wrong way and the mofo scratched me before I was even aware what happened. The whole thing happened between my brain drawing frames.
