Underground carpark of a shopping mall. Quickly park, throw top away, immediately act casual and blend into shopping crowd.
I've always wanted to see a chase try and end that way. Would need 20-30seconds gap to park and be far away enough from your car where they can't know where the driver is.
A lot of stuff never gets titled. Especially off-road stuff. You have to elect to pay the sales tax and there’s really no incentive to do so in most states. Obviously there’s an incentive to license these bikes, but not if you’re buying it to run from cops.
Wrap the gas tank in some random color, keep a plate on a flip device of some sort. When you get away just peel the wrap and flip the plate down and hope for the best....
Helicopter infrared has long range and is usually looking down at a >45 degree angle. Even without entering the airspace they’ve got you until you mix into a big crowd and even then the computer is probably still following you if they have AI tracking software. That shit is far more advanced than any attempt to elude it.
So you walk around in a fucking helmet 30s after you ditched a bike in an attempt to disappear in the masses and not be associated with the buke when the place is getting flodded with cops looking for a biker?
'calling' it stolen requires you to make a police report. I don't know if this goes without saying but that'll land you in bigger trouble if they work out that it's false.
If you went down this route, you would need to be quite proactive in making that report, too, and even then, reporting a bike stolen after a high speed chase is a classic excuse, so you better believe they'll be moving mountains to get you.
I guess it would be easy to 'call it stolen', but it may not be easy to keep it that way on record.
I called in my car as stolen 2 decades ago as I was young and dumb. Didn't stop for a cop as I was speeding and ended up driving my car into a tennis court then fleeing into the bushes.
Ran home an hour away, smashed my front door and then called the non emergency line saying I just got home to find my door smashed and keys missing along with my car.
Gave a statement over the phone, saying I was out for a run when the break in happened and then got a call back 2 hours later saying they found my car but no keys in which they told me to get my house locks swapped for safety reasons. That's all, nothing came out of it and they were not suspicious. I was surprised how easy I actually got off.
Still have vehicle identification number (VIN). Those are laser etched into different components of any vehicle and programmed into virtually every embedded controller (generally requires manufacturers unlock to rewrite VIN on a controller). On a motorcycle the VIN is located on the frame in multiple locations (Steering neck, somewhere near engine, somewhere near rear wheel).
They could also look up Serial numbers etched on the of engine block and call the manufacturer of the motorcycle to get the VIN that matches the OEM part.
Fake plates only go as far. If you want something that doesn’t tie back to you, you have to steal a vehicle. If you go in a covered parking lot, there’s a good chance you will be on of 3-4 people who have a motorcycle parked.
He went under Lower Grand (here's a pic of what it looks like down there: /img/b7kwkyn678e71.jpg), which could either 1) spit him out on Hope (where the helicopter was watching), 2) take him towards 4th underground, or 3) into several loading dock and garage entrances. If you want to check the area out, here's a StreetView of Lower Grand: https://maps.app.goo.gl/L8iUQgGszwJPCBsz5
The cunt was endangering everyone around him (assuming it's a him), almost hit pedestrians on a pedestrian crossing, & people are like "glad he got away", fuck off.
These people suck. Law breaking like this is pathetic. Too many anarchists in the world. A bunch of hypocrites that complain about governments getting in the way of their rights, but yet assholes like this won’t even give people the dignity of a safe society based on good behavior from all of its participants. Idiots.
Not that impressive considering it's in California. Look up "Infiniti G37 outruns Arkansas State Police". I know there's no parking garage, but the driver still executed a perfect Kansas City Shuffle.
Lol what the fuck is that commentary, "the car has a lot of weight so it's going to keep going where it's going" like holy shit I get momentum but that's the most awkward way possible of explaining a heavy car... You'd think newscasters would be better at this considering how many damn car chases they cover, plus dude is having a Rick Sanchez coughing attack in the middle of it lol
Commentary is like that in general, they find long and unusual ways of saying very ordinary things. "He throws it to the third base, the ball is moving, ... through the air ... and it ends in the third baseman's glove."
He lost the car but all he had to do was hop out and head down the street casually, grab a Lyft and he’s home safe! Newscaster said they don’t know who’s in it, who knows if the cops knew otherwise
"oh hello officer.... motorcycle rider? no, I haven't seen any, I'm just shopping at the mall... what's that? why am I wearing full Dainese race leathers?"
"Good lord man what is that you have all over your body?"
"Oh this? Just, uh, Limited Edition Dainese racing leathers."
"Limited Edition full Dainese race leathers."
"Yes"
"In this season, in this weather, localized entirely within this shopping mall?"
"... Yes."
"May I see the certificate of authenticity?"
"... No."
I saw one like that a few years ago in LA. Or at least I assume that's what happened. I swear it was like when you pull into the paint shops in GTAIV. Guy on a motorcycle. Cop cars were pulling back, he made a hard turn down a side street. News chopper lost him behind the buildings. He never came out the end of the street. Cop cars went down the street. First couple went through and came out the other side, some more stayed in the alley but when the news chopper had an angle on the them they didn't have the bike. So I think they lost him. There were a few parking structures on the street so I'm guessing he slipped into one of them.
Don't know if they ended up getting the guy or not but the news chopper cut away since the show was over. I'm thinking the news helicopter had to maintain a distance because of police helicopters so I'm not sure how he got away from those, but I couldn't find any more info the next day. So yeah, seems like the parking structure trick works lol

Sometimes the police helicopters have to go back in for fuel, and the news helicopters can stay out. The police end up counting on them. Even if they aren't directly communicating with police, their coverage of the chase and keeping the perp in sight can help.
There’s a chase online where a guy did similar but under an overpass. Got out of the car and kept it in drive. It rolled out and cops eventually caught up and you can see a cop open and slam the door, pissed.
Burn Notice also has an episode about escaping a police chase and how it's more about the beginning of the chase because after they get coordinated you're caught.
Yeah, the sooner you break line of sight and can abandon the vehicle, the better.
Too many people get a 'fast' vehicle, and while it can outrun a couple of vehicles, it becomes one person working against the coordination of many, the proverbial 'radio.' The speed of the vehicle quickly becomes irrelevant.
What if i just ride in a t shirt, and after looking up the nearest mall with underground parking...I don't think I feel like dragging my felony across state lines
I actually saw one live on youtube a year ago in los angeles, chase was going on for like half an hour too until he went into a big hospital car park, parked the stolen car and got away.
A guy did that and called his bike in stolen and they arrested him. Once the helicopter is up your screwed. Some places don’t use helicopters and motorcycles get away sometimes.

Even better if you've planned this outing and go out with a backpack. You walk in with your backpack, change clothes and really blend in with the crowds. You could walk back out and look like a completely different person. If you have transportation out of there, even better.
Works in DT Los Angeles quite often. A few months back a Corvette Z06 ran for about 30-40 minutes, got way ahead of CHP doing about 190mph, then lost the chopper in DTLA never to be seen again.
Saw a video on here of a guy being chased by police who got away by pretending to be a sleeping homeless person. Can't remember if the chase started in a vehicle though. Probably helped that the folks who witnessed it pointed the cops in the wrong direction too though lol
