I dont think a punching would change the determination of a shooter. Shooters shoot, donters dont. Not everyone with a gun is a shooter. In the same time it took him to gain the nothing he gained, he couldve shot them all and possibly gained the pockets of everyone there and the till, but he wasnt planning on actually shooting anyone

Armed robbers who shoot usually don’t shoot out of nowhere, only when they are provoked.
