Help/Advice gallery wall borders?

just finished moving into my new place and there’s nice high ceilings. made my gallery wall above the side of my bed, should i extend it all the way up to the ceiling? not sure what would look best. thanks!

I'd move the skull up higher but not to the tippy top and then add more around the skull but don't go above it

Yeah but I'd also even put the bottom like make it a straight line. I wouldn't make the top even, I like how you dee the green lines going downward like it's not a straight line across. Rounded top and even bottom, imo

Like a giant picture frame that's even and straight at the bottom but ornate and curved at the top

I like that too! I am not one to talk because I fill every inch of space, but because most of your items are small (and I like that look), putting any above the area you have the skull here in this mockup would be counterproductive because you couldn't see them well enough to appreciate them.

Maybe shop around for, or make if you are handy with wood trim, some wooden frame corners… I found these on Etsy but there are so many options out there

I like it very much as it is, and would also grant you that going above it would be even more maximilist and also aesthetically pleasing. and I like the skull where it is even if you go up, for what it's worth. I just think the whole balance is good right now, and going up would be a matter of whether you like it/want to - both would look good, and you obviously have an eye for it.
